I think in the abstract you have some point but you are over-exaggerating on the extent in which a single type of "gay culture" is dominating the entire queer scene, which frankly is much more of a stereotype than reality. It's like thinking all workers are relatively uneducated uncouth physically stronger manual labourers... Also intrinsically being a supporter of general cultural democracy I would question the whole idea of "conforming to mainstream bourgeois culture" in order to "better fit in" as a really valid activist strategy for radical socialists. Sounds more like a reformist middle class tactic to me...
