Do not become reactionary in your revolutionary zeal lest you be deemed reactionary too. The problem in Australia as I see it is a case of national schizophrenia. Australia democratically voted for monarchy...???? I think the Aboriginal question is an important one to address.

The problem is not with who governs the state but with the state itself...

A state by any other name is still a state.

Re Monarchy in Australia- You could ask yourself why the majority of Australians u-turned and voted pro-monarchy a few years back. I believe that a large part was due to racism, wasn't there a clause about recognising the Aboriginals as the "first" people in Australia...?. Suddenly it was all right to be a monarchy again.. hmm.... Fundamentally, whether it's a monarchy or a presidential US style republic I don't think it makes a damn iota of difference to the hoi poloi, to be honest- bear that in mind too. The problem is with the horse and not necessarily the rider at times. Anyway, this was told to me by an Aussie- so please put right if I am off the mark.
