I'm no friend of Stalin (at all), but I think your point was absolutely valid: it's impossible to discuss anything when Stalin crops up in every thread, whether it's got anything to do with the topic or not. By the same token, I would appreciate if Anti-Revisionists wouldn't shout "liberal" at everything, whether it has got anything to do with actual liberalism or not. This kind of things works both ways.

You repeated your very straightforward point several times, calmly - and yet people didn't seem to get their head around it. Too bad.

    Hey comrade,

I've seen you around defending a labor aristocracy thesis. You might be interesting in a post I just made.

Like I said in the post, I'm not going to discuss it further in that thread. If you have any questions or comments, PM me.

So you're not interested, then (your response was vague)?

"Comrade I enjoy your post however I am wondering why you claim to subscribe to Kautsky's views. He was a very intelligence and important marxist up until the first world war where he became an opportunist."

Precisely those pre-WWI views (or, rather, his views before 1910 or so) are what is woefully ignored by most on the left today. Lenin was an unoriginal, out-and-out Kautskyist in the sense of Kautsky's views before 1910 or so, including Kautsky's theory of imperialism before 1910 (I hate to break it to you, but so much for "Marxism-Leninism"). If you're interested in my work, PM me for e-mail.

[BTW, at least your attitude towards pre-renegade Kautsky isn't as philosophically hostile as conventional Trotskyist "he was a centrist/opportunist all along" attitude.]

Hello. I am new to this forum. I saw your posts somewhere and impressed. However, I do not know the identity of the individual in your display avatar. Is it some famous marxist that I haven't heard about?
I would like to know more about him.
    Thank you.
