Well i suppose it depends on how you define 'revolutionary'. The simplest way of putting it is that a revolution seeks to replace the current ruling system with a new one, the SLP seeks to 'abolish Capitalism and replace it with a Socialist system whose institutions represent and are democratically controlled by and accountable to the people as a whole'. (http://www.socialist-labour-party.org.uk/policies.html)
Those who call Chavez and the PSUV revolutionary would call us revolutionary but i know many people dont consider them revolutionary and would then most probably not consider us revolutionary either.
    Yea its this symbol: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...ist_Symbol.jpg

As in what are we up to at the moment? Nationally, Regionally?

    Hi,

Thanks for the message. I'm relatively new to socialism, but I think I've found my feet with regard to how I think we should try to achieve it. I'm about half way through Capital Vol. 1 at the moment, with the help of David Harvey. My eyes have been well and truly opened.

Always nice to know that one's snarky one-liners aren't going unappreciated.

Contrary to popular belief, our time-honoured usergroup can house such thoroughly anti-Kautsky sentiment as well as the sentiment of comrades. I'll give another example: why is there an Anarcho-Communist usergroup, when there is already the oldest and biggest RL usergroup of them all, the Anarchist usergroup?

It's redundant. Seriously, with all these groups here, there should be consolidation into the older groups.

Sorry I've never heard anything about the society of positivist proletarians. Auguste Comte sympathized with the working masses but was still fairly elitist so I doubt he would have formed a society under that name, and on the contrary I think the only group he ever organized was the church of humanity.
