Look, if you're gonna call yourself a Socialist, then supporting the Republic of Ireland isn't the way to go. If you support the ROI, you are supporting Capitalism, calling them "Anti-Imperialist" doesn't justify your viewpoint at all. The fact still remains that the current Irish state is Capitalist and will do nothing to help the working class of Ireland. And before you call me a nationalist, my opinion about Ireland has definitely changed since I first joined this forum. I don't advocate English dominance over Ireland, infact I fully support Irish independence now and believe that Northern Ireland should be free from British rule. But you have to recognise that the Republic of Ireland is no different ideologically to Great Britain. Just because Ireland is apparently standing up against "British imperialism" doesn't make them any better than the UK.
