I'm open to the idea of keeping the "work"-related discussions in my thread, but if you feel the need to move your sound-off musings and others' reactions to another thread, feel free to do so.

Yeah, over here that really only exists either as an ideal for some to strive for (Can't for the life of me figure why) or in the 'radical' networks within the main trade union, influenced by Trots, MLs and some 'extraparliamentary activists'. I don't know how folks can keep driving that road towards nowhere...

The group I'm in isn't a syndicalist organisation proper though, it's more of a political propaganda and solidarity group composed of people who identify as either more or less orthodox syndicalists, autonomists, the ultra-left and even some sympathetic to primitivism. Most of what we do involves the creation and distribution of political propaganda and participation in various struggles akin to SeaSol in the US.

Personally (and some other comrades with me) I started moving away from syndicalism to where I'm now and the fact that we neither do nor can nor should function as a syndicalist organisation (imo) is starting to show and we've planned to discuss the issue of 'what now' in the near future.

So long story short: the group started out as the aspiring Dutch branch of the IWA but it's not moving in that direction and I'm not on that wavelength anymore for quite some time.

That's a complicated story actually. I used to be in an squatting collective with mixed politics of autonomism and leninism until it disbanded about 2,5 years ago. At the same time, much of the Dutch milieu was very 'activist' imo and the whole vibe was that class struggle was just an issue you were an 'activist' in next to squatting, antifascism and animal rights. At the same time the first signs of struggles started to emerge from the student movement and striking postal workers. I was contacted by some other folks who felt that the need existed for a more class-struggle oriented organisation next to the existing anarchist federation (with which I hadn't been in contact before). This led to the founding of the group I'm in on pretty much traditional anarcho-syndicalist principles which then intervened in a pretty wide variety of struggles. It's a good group of very nice people and we've done some interesting and useful actions.

OK, so would it be better to close the thread or move it to Non-Political? I don't know what's the appropriate course of action now, if by "can of worms" you have an, ahem, administrative meaning.

I was re-posting a cultural blog from someone not politically supportive of the PCI at all.

Didn't have time to post, and how can I argue when someone makes a claim without any reasoning behind it? I mean you just said: “Marxism-Leninism is capitalist.”
What's left for me to say? Only: “It isn't”
I think having such arguments is pretty much a waste of time.
