I was just curious, because I thought I remembered seeing something somewhere saying you were in the old SDS. I'm in a small branch of the newer SDS right now.

My view of 1968 - well I much hold the maoist MLPD line of 70s. I totally disagree with rightwing oportunism of Dubchek but i also consider Husák a brezhnevist social-imperialist. I see the invasion as social-imperialist , the pro-capitalist process was very dangerous and Dubchek is still a hero for various reactionaries here , but i just don´t see an invasion as a socialist way. So i can be considered antitrotskyist , antibrezhnev , antitito , antihoxha , antideng , pretty much Marx-Engels-Lenin-Stalin-Gottwald (fist president of socialist Czechoslovak republic) - Mao , maybe some points of Lin Biao. I hate that like 80% of communists in our country are 60+ and the political youth goes mostly fascist

i was around SDS about the time it broke up (i.e. the 1969 SDS convention, that summer). I joined the RYM secton of SDS after that. Why?

ah, ok. I have been to Bratislava and some of the countryside of Slovakia.

what kind of a communist are you? (for example what is your view of the 1968 events, Dubchek, Husak, the Soviet invasion etc.)

I´m very glad I´m in touch with you comrade ! Your knowledge far exceeds mine. I studying maoism only like half of a year as far i just read Little red book and some Lin Biao thoughts so i mainly get info from sites like Kasama , Marxist-leninist and MSH. I´m active in the communist youth in my country but there are like 100 young communists out of 5,5 million people here...

you think we would disagree on the issue over whether imperialism and empire are impediments to socialist construction on an international scale?

Do you always meet someone for the first time, and based on labels, announce that you are going to disagree?

I suppose that could use a different phrasing. I suppose I would say that imperialism and the expansion of empire are the largest impediments to socialist construction on an international scale. Since you come from a Maoist strain of thought, I think we'd have some disagreements on that basis.
