you answered it in a way,

however i dont think the Libdems will beat the Labour party next election, but the exodus of the middle class voters, backers and possibly even members from the Labour party when they lose the next election (which i think they will) would push them momentarily down the political party rank list,

the Libdems have already shown their ability to mop up disenfranchised Labour supporters from most classes in the recent local election

The MIA doesn't mention what copy of the Erfurt Programm it uses (which also counts for MIA in French). Yet the German version is based on a reprint of 1965 and also has a link to a the original text (scaned).

But if you click the link you might notice it would take today's reader some time to adjust to the old writing!

Social Labor Populism gives me chills; images of Thomas E. Watson, Pitchfork Ben Tillman and others who too easily made the transition from the People's Party to the Klan. We want to always have an opening to the less advanced elements, but we don't want to cater to backwardness.

    Too many sectarians in there.

And fellow trots are generally the most abusive of comrades when their ideas on dialectics are challenged -- even worse than libertarian Marxists, who take some beating.

Maoists, would you believe(!), for all their simple faith in Holy Writ, tend to be the least abusive in this regard.

Since my return, as it were, I largely stay in the Philosophy section anyway (for reasons I explained in the CC).

I think you said Lenin (state-monopoly capitalism that serves the people = socialism) was wrong while gilhyle said Lenin was right.

Whenever I visit these forums, I'm always amazed by your almost encyclopedic knowledge. What background do you have as far as studies, degrees, etc?

I added some new pictures in the RM album.

I also found some interesting pictures of the SPD, which I've added to my SPD album: http://www.revleft.com/vb/album.php?albumid=11

No idea; random anime womyn, who had a star in her hat (which I coloured red.).

Why not? Sometimes I don't want people to know I'm online. I disagree with you about the definition of petty-bourgeoisie btw, and it's an interesting discussion, but that wasn't the original purpose of the thread, so maybe we can get a mod to split the stuff on fascism?

"A new centrist project does not have to repeat these mistakes. Nobody in this topic is advocating a carbon copy of the Second International (which again was only partly centrist)." (Tjis, class-struggle anarchist)

"A centrist strategy is based on patience, and building a movement or party or party-movement through deploying various instruments, which I think should include: workplace organising, housing struggles [...] and social services [...] and a range of other activities such as sports and culture. These are recruitment and retention tools that allow for a platform for political education." (Tim Cornelis, left-communist)
