seeing how we in the west don't live under jurisdiction of shariah (not saying muslims in muslim-majority countries live completely by it either with all of the nationalism), non-muslims don't intervene in the practice of islam (not counting governmental support for dictators and imperialist military action) and we don't intervene in theirs, people are still judged according to their individual in/action. of course in more muslim populated areas and cities that wouldn't be the case as shariah would be less of a controversy.
