Parties are organizations of bourgeois politics, and are naturally home to petty-bourgeois bureaucrats/party hacks/politicians, whether full fledged or in the making. You can't build a party or permanent organization without falling under that influence to some degree.

But life is a constant learning process if it is genuine. There's no shame in that.

I have developed a much more nuanced view on many things. All my experiences helped with that to one degree or another. I'll pass on some of the detailed things the folks I work with and I have worked out in a few days if you're interested.

It's never been that black and white, though the way some folks simplistically argue may have made it appear that way. The main point is that there were/are gains made in "socialist states" over what existed previously, and that we need to fight to move things forward and take direct control of the means of production rather than lining up with capitalist forces that want to open the markets/land/labor to unlimited exploitation.

I did make some mistaken judgments. That was especially the case in regard to questions of class in the "socialist states." In that way I ventured a bit from where I started; not always in a positive direction. Sometimes I think it was mainly a result of trying to build a mass organization which inherently brings on all sorts of opportunistic petty-bourgeois influence.
