Since comrade Aang has already suggested some introductory works for you, I would like to add one suggestion: Draper's "The Two Souls of Socialism". Of course, Draper's politics were, though perhaps the leftmost and most consistent of the Shachtman current, fairly confused. But "Two Souls" is really an excellent introduction to socialism and what it means - as long as one keeps in mind that Draper's characterisation of the Soviet Union is highly contested.
  2. Here is the link for Marx: A Beginner's Guide (my first message has a typo in the URL)
  3. Hey! If you're interested, as you're relatively new to leftism, I'd recommend reading these sometime! Marx: A Beginner's Guide and The Revolutionary Ideas of Karl Marx

I'm currently reading the latter on my kindle in school (I converted it from PDF to text and downloaded it) and I absolutely love it! I am actually quite surprised how much I didn't know about Karl Marx and Marxism.
