What's happening man, hope all is well.

I see you have 'market socialist' underneath your name and your tendency is set as libertarian socialism. Firstly, could you explain your version of market socialism as the term is often used but doesn't really mean the same thing by different people. I assume you want to maintain a price system in a post-capitalist society, but can you tell me more about your market socialism? Why do you require the continuation (or modification) of some form of market for capital goods (hence 'market' socialism)?

Secondly, as a libertarian socialist, what is your opinion on a) the vanguard party b) alternatives to said vanguard c) trade unions

Kind regards and thanks for taking the time.

Cool. I used to be quite active in Wisconsin. Unfortunately I never met any party members from Ohio. I have met members from Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, but none from Ohio. Have you thought about starting a local yourself? All that is required in 3 people. If you want any tips/advice, let me know, I used to be Chair of the State of Wisconsin chapter.

I notice you list SPUSA as an org. Are you actively involved with them, or just a supporter?

My Polish is quite bad so I'll type this in English - great to see another Polish communist in what is currently a pretty reactionary eastern Europe! I am currently living in Canada.

Fair enough. It should be noted, however, that the more you reject spontaneism, the more you accept vanguardism.

It seems like you're not interested in continuing this discussion, but I just want to clarify the terminology here: "working class politics" and "reformist unionism" are mutually exclusive.

Political Statement
I identify with the Libertarian Socialist tradition (anarchism) and am a Market Socialist. I believe in the following anarchist principles:

1) There should only be that authority which can be justified, and
2) People should have say over decisions in proportion to how much that decision affects them.
3) Social relations should be mutually constituted rather than externally constituted. (Proudhon).

I accept Schweickart's critique of ParEcon and the economic system I favor is market socialism. It's the only realistic thing to push for, and enables the whole project, from what I can see. All enterprises should be worker-owned, which would overturn the capitalist relations of production while leaving allocation to a market without central planning, but with democratic control over its institutions (banks, capital markets, trade constraints, etc.) After all, it's the social relations of private ownership of the means of production and wage labor that characterize capitalism, not commerce itself.

I no longer consider myself a Marxist. I'm not a social or philosophical materialist. I accept material conditions as partially determinative of human behavior, though. The truth is much more complicated than that; I like Pierre Bourdieu's sociological theorizing quite a bit.
