Yes, I'm taking AP psych and plan to major on that, specifically focus on social psychology yet also cover other topics that interest me (although I also like history...and am intrigued at what sociology/anthropology is all about.). Personally...I haven't really read up much on critical psychology (except that it is a field intended to critique psychology...maybe I'll do my own critiques "my own way" instead of imitating the other critical psychologists' "post-modern underpinnings") but I like to be of help so I mentioned it. I'll look into that self-determination theory and those people; some of these things we don't even cover much in our class (although it does sound familiar...like something mentioned in the motivation section of the book). Yeah, I can't believe that thread is on-going...I also am marveled at why leftists seem to have a soft spot for Freud. He wasn't empirical/scientific in his findings (although some of his concepts have been proven, I concede that, but not by Freudians; it was by cognitive psychologists). I plan not to respond on the thread...so it can finally rest. Especially since it seems like I have been repeating myself all the time. Thanks for your offer! If you ever need my opinion on something just ask!
