Hello again comrade, thanks for adding the other names, I was also wondering if you could add Activist Solidarity Network (ASN)? Its a new one I just came up with that I think sums up our organization quite well and it has a nice ring to it.

I'm not even going to bother looking at the replies in the "Why didn't Stalin murder Trotsky in 1927" thread, but if it hasn't been said already: the Soviet leadership had no basis to kill him until the late 30's when the Moscow Trials established that he had collaborated with fascism and the Stalin evidently felt that extralegal methods were justified in killing him (since Trotsky obviously wasn't going to return to the USSR to be tried in court and executed.)

Before the Moscow Trials the only prominent Bolshevik I can think of who was executed was Roman Malinovsky back in 1918, and that was because he was a confirmed Okhrana agent who was responsible for the Tsarist authorities arresting and IIRC murdering some Bolsheviks. It took similar charges against the defendants of the three Moscow Trials to justify their execution.

If the thread was basically a troll to demonstrate that Stalin wasn't interested in "murdering" Trotsky until he did bad things to warrant it, then well played.
