Thank you, it was a good read. A bit preachy perhaps, but that's understandable given the conditions in which it was written.
To my great shame, I used to be a Leninist and, when faced with evidence of his crimes (and those of his associates, of course), I always made up excuses (e.g. "but there was a war!" or "but the Whites were worse!" or "that evidence is fake"). I was basically in denial, caught up in condemning Stalin while at the same time trying to defend Lenin's actions. Yet with time I realized that the former came to power largely thanks to the system implemented by the latter.
