Actually I don't know who translated Nazim Hikmet into Spanish, and don't think any of the English translations are particularly good - those translations might as well be my own adaptations of existing ones or even my own translations (2006 is a long time ago so I'm not sure, but I was translating some of Nazim Hİkmet's poetry back then). If you are thinking of buying an anthology of his poetry though, I'd say prefer the translator who is a native English speaker.

Politically, a lot of work is being done with the IWW (which I am a member of). Lots of exciting stuff. We had a rather large Midwest Wobbly gathering back in January, and now we're looking to host the annual IWW Organizing Summit for 2013. Besides that, just the same ol' stuff... fighting the good fight at our jobs, a few of us are trying to organize, etc.
I'm not quite sure where you are, but we are mostly (if not entirely) Omaha and Lincoln based.

There's always something going on in good ol' 'braska, you just know the right places and people.
