Modern Britain are still involved in mass murder, imperialism and sectarian politics. The North of Ireland is under British occupation, the British Army are continually involved in attacks in Iraq, Afghanistan etc against innocent civilains, stealing their resources and trying to grab land. This is happing worldwide, and you think this is something to be proud of ? And how do 'muslim extremists' threaten this apparent British culture of lovely foods and football ? They don't. What is your opinion on the situation in the north of Ireland, where the British colonised and to this day still deny the Irish their culture ? What's your view on the 'war on terror' that the British are involved in in the Middle east ?
Didnt you read my point on new-nationalism? The britain you talk about existed 200/300 even 700 years ago. This isnt relative to me in any way. Im not proud about sections in our history and some stones are better left unturned (We can both agree) but why shouldnt I be proud of modern-day britian? I love my culture and England is who I am. Football, British foods, Britsh comedy and British TV all play a part in our lives and we should be proud. All nations have there past....
Hey man, i see you have some pretty fucked up views with EDL in the name eh. Why are you patriotic, britain has raped plundered and dessimated all over the globe. The British GOV starved nearly 30 millions and massacred those trying to organise food import. They also lead the crusades, colonized most of the world and are currently killing kids in the middle east.
