yeah it's probably not a small person's throw. We used to practice it on the crash mats at York. When I moved down to London, the dojo I was training in was a bit 'harder', and people used to try out Ura Nage without crash mats. Terrifying every time you get lifted up in the air!

I trained with a guy up in york who had an awesome left-handed ogoshi. He'd be able to throw me with it even when I knew it was coming, so fast!

I read somewhere that tani otoshi can be really dangerous, got a bit of a mental block on it. Don't really like having my knees so exposed - if I ever get into that sort of position I go for the big ura nage, though i think i'll need to hit the gym a bit more for it to come off!

nice getting the ogoshi in for ippon! I won my bronze medal fight in february with kosoto gake, such a good throw when the oppo is a fool and keeps turning in for a shoulder throw really slowly innit?

yeah I don't normally criticise you but I was gobsmacked that that shithead rape apologist only got a verbal warning. I assumed it was some sort of oversight.

Ah congrats!! That's awesome! Although i'm slightly jealous....i'm 3 months+ away from contact sport, so probably longer for Judo.
