Thanks for all your replies on Buddhism. I'm still learning about it (in my attempt to be more open-minded about religion, especially Eastern ones... I considered myself a militant anti-theist before but now I realize I'm more anti-Abrahamic religion than anything) and you've definitely made things easier.
