to clarify that last message since I have more time now, as another user quoted/brought up in discussion on what left ideas have done to shape us "they killed the cop in their head", and I think this says it just fine, formal organizations most often don't do this and they cater to keeping that little cop in everyone's head happy, serving empire, playing the numbers in the ranks game etc..

the example wasn't from may day it was a generic example that you or me or someone came up with. On May Day, coordinated affinity actions engaged in big disruptions and half a million dollars in property destruction (like 20 people maybe less like 10 maybe less I don't know) because the state is vulnerable to attacks and some people wanted to engage in insurrectionary play, revenge, bond building, rupture, etc.. The argument that 'it alienates people' is absurd to use because what alienates people isn't a specific act it's confrontation, new ideas, new things and good luck building a gigantic movement off of non-confrontation, rigid rules and policing, although the new ideas is something we as radicals of different tendencies will both engage people in (and each other too) I'm almost out of time at the library so forgive this message's quickly written appearance (it was).

it's a reply to your post in that thread I made it on your profile instead of in the thread where it would be derailing

Nice! My 20th b-day was pretty awesome. Actually quite better than my 21st. IMHO the 21st b-day is overrated. Everyone seems to have gotten drunk WAY before 21.

hey comrade good posts in the BR thread. You make some great points, seems like everyone's jumping on you for them though sheesh! haha. I always felt BB tactics are only good in certain situations, but smashing up of a window or especially a working class person's car really isn't going to further proletarian revolution or show others why capitalism is oppressive and detrimental to their every day lives. I understand a lot of it is symbolism, attacking signs of corporate greed and capital but yet we also see how it turns off many people who may not understand what the protests or actions are about. Then the media loves that shit. I mean look at groups like the weather underground or RAF they thought by using their actions it would inspire people to rise up, and spearhead the revolution. We saw how badly that failed in mobilizing the working class into revolutionary action. I just think we can't keep repeating the same tactic while expecting different results.

Drugs make everything funnier. I hope there will be an efficient drug distribution system set up post-revolution. Maybe a voice-and-motion-activated screen in every home

"Hello Dave. What can I get for you today?"
    "pot"
"Today's recommended strains are ... O-G-Kush, Purple Urkle, Sour Diesel, and AK47."
    "the good shit"
"Delivering Sour Diesel to vacuum tube A"
    *shhhhhhhoomp*
    "Please remove your selection, Dave"

About A Revolutionary Tool

Basic Information

Location
California
Interests
Reading, sports, guitar.
Gender
Male

We claim to live and die equal, the way we were born: we want this real equality or death; that’s what we need.
And we’ll have this real equality, at whatever price. Unhappy will be those who stand between it and us! Unhappy will be those who resist a wish so firmly expressed.
The French Revolution was nothing but a precursor of another revolution, one that will be bigger, more solemn, and which will be the last.
