Can you recommend some ''Left Communist'' reading?
You bring up a fair point there, which makes their actions more understandable. I don't think Gramsci Guy is a trotskyist, although he is often accused of being one. It's kind of disappointing because there are some great Heterodox/Post-Orthodox Trotskyists on this site, but I don't think I have ever seen any of them claim that Trotsky made any major mistakes that are worth condemning. If they did, then that would probably put them closer to Left Communism than Trotskyism.. I have a lot of respect for you guys: Left Communism seems to have the most advanced theoretical outlook of the different forms of Marxism, and is the least weighed down by historical dead weight(IE having to defend failed policies/mistakes of people like Trotsky/irrelevant dead people). Although I consider myself more of an Anarchist, I think of Left Communists as good comrades.
Nice replies in the Kronstadt thread. You summed up why Leninism in general and Trotsky himself(though I do acknowledge that at times he was revolutionary, both before and after Kronstadt) along with the arbitrary and excessive(dare I say counter-revolutionary?) suppression of the Anarchists leave a sour taste in my mouth.
Hoxha actually defended the cause of world revolution, and denounced Titoite, Khrushchevite, Maoist, Eurocommunist, etc. revisionism on this account which called for "peaceful coexistence," for the "peaceful transition to socialism," for "specific socialisms" for each country, etc. I have written a topic on this: http://www.revleft.com/vb/self-relia...html?p=2383049
Well I think there's some qualitative difference between Hoxha on one side and Mao, Kim Il Sung, Brezhnev, and others who he bitterly opposed, no?
So... what'chu think of Hoxha?
Your posts are always right- on.
Since you (not I) brought up the subject of workers paramilitary organizations / paramilitias (more than mere "militias"): http://www.revleft.com/vb/organizati...008/index.html On their own, they are more capable of handling immediate political issues, during and outside a revolutionary situation, than non-party councils. Since the base soviets themselves passed less than a handful of decrees, (from a more "ad hoc" perspective) only Milrevkoms, Sovnarkoms, and the base paramilitaries themselves are really necessary.
