Political Statement
I am an Immediatist Revolutionary Libertarian Socialist, that's quite a mouthful so I'll go through it bit by bit.

The first bit, Immediatism, is put in direct opposition to Impossibilism, or the even more extreme accelerationism, the view that social reforms in capitalism are pointless at best and counterproductive at worst. Now there may be some credence to this view that social reforms lead to capitalism lasting longer than it should, but I view it as incredibly callous to abandon people to suffer under capitalism in order to hurry up our socialist world. The ends do not justify the means. This is why I am a member of the Labour party, not because I believe it can bring about the socialist world I want, but because I believe it can be an instrument to alleviate the suffering of people under capitalism, even if that does mean capitalism lasts longer.

The revolutionary bit is probably clearer, I do not believe socialism can be achieved gradually, as democratic socialists do. The wealthy always end up preventing real social change that would allow this to happen and so socialism must be implemented immediately via a complete overthrow of capitalism. The history of democratic socialist movements clearly shows that at best they achieve social democracy, never actual socialism.

Libertarian Socialist means quite simply two things, I am opposed to the state, and I am opposed to capitalism. This is in direct contrast to authoritarian socialists who believe that the state can be a source of socialist revolution. Again the history of state socialism shows that it has never achieved socialism, but only ever cruel dictatorship. Moving the means of production from the bourgeoisie to the state is not socialism, you simply replace one group of exploiters with another, the means of production must go straight to the people. I do not believe a transitionary state is required to achieve socialism as Marxists believe, I believe Catalonia in the Spanish Civil War demonstrates that it can be achieved immediately, in this sense I am more specifically an Anarcho-communist.
