Over a sufficiently long period I would anticipate that the proportion of social labour producing public goods will rise, especially public information goods, and that in time this may become the dominant part of the economy. But this can only happen through the population as a whole being willing to pay higher income taxes for public goods and also by an increase in the share of all work that is carried out by volunteers - examples today might be the various railways that are run on volunteer labour. It is only by evidence of people actually volunteering for things like that, that we can see the social reality of Marx's phrase about labour itself becoming a prime want.

Do you conceive of a possibility for the existence of a higher phase of communism at all?

I've been meaning to ask, if we assume that consumers will moderate their consumption (as unrealistically as it may be), and we do not use prices for some/many goods (in other words, we are in a higher phase of communism), is your model of economic planning and calculation still applicable? Or will it kill efficiency/effectiveness? (I don't expect a long answer, I wouldn't be able to understand it anyway -- one sentence suffices).
Also, has there been a challenge by academics against your proposals?

Thank you for arguing against the theory of state-capitalism as applied to the USSR.

Ok then g is the vector of labour values and f the vector of direct labour input

It is that equation for finding labor values! I don't remember where the variable names came from, it was so long ago. But I thought I got it from something in your writings.

You're name sounds familiar, did you write a book about new socialism?
Or do you just use the same name?

In the end the essence of imperialism is the use by one state of political, military and economic power to expand the territory under its control.
This does not necessarily have any close relation to the export of capital.

How do you define an imperialist country?
