I saw in this post that you asked about Left Communism.

Here are 2 links to posts I made and another user made about left communism.

That's a great avatar. Bergman is my favourite director and Liv Ullman and Bibi Andersson are two of my favourite actresses, as well as 'Persona' being on of my favourite films. My favourite Bergman films may be 'Scenes From A Marriage', 'Wild Strawberries', 'Face To Face', 'Hour of The Wolf', 'Virgin Spring', 'Fanny and Alexandra', 'Serpent's Egg' as well as the aforementioned 'Persona'.

Very nice avatar. I used to think Persona was Bergman's masterpiece and then I saw The Hour of the Wolf which for me supersedes Persona.

As you will no doubt be able to see, there are several other comrades who prefer this way of doing philosophy; they have just set up a Post-Blah-Blah group.

I think they keep quiet about it.

I didn't say they weren't serious, I merely said I could not see why anyone should pay attention to what Derrida has to say.

Wittgenstein avoids the sort of questions that seem to worry French 'philosophers' since he is not trying to do traditional philosophy -- even in a negative sort of way, either.

    Why what?

I have to say that it is many years since I had to read Derrida (as an undergraduate). Oddly enough, I am grateful for this episode in that it has put me off him forever. I'd only re-read his work again now if threatened with a shotgun, and even then, I'd mull things over.

I scratch my head as to why anyone takes him seriously -- or, come to that, any other French 'philosopher' since Descartes (including Descartes).
