Yes I agree that the OWS crowd is not a good place to get a revolutionary party going, but I do think that it could have potential to spark an alternative political movement. This could manifest itself on the ballot as an anti-austerity option, and on the streets as an alternative culture/ mutual aid organizer.

Haha it would be nice to get a progressive presence on the ballot, even if it didn't mean much. If we reached out to the OWS guys maybe we could get something going.

Well the mainstream of the party is too fond of Hugo ChÃ¡vez for my liking. I do however suspect that the more local currents aren't as crazy about ChÃ¡vez as the party leadership is.

At this point I'm okay with a Marxist, non-Stalinist party. I'll let you know how they are once I start to get more involved.

Yeah, the CPGB is the only party out there that I agree with. I'm thinking of getting involved with the IMT (really Workers International League) since they have a branch where I live, but they have some views I don't agree with. Plus I'm not too crazy about Trotskyism.

I've considered the SPUSA, but I just don't see the point in joining a non-revolutionary organization.
