Of course! DeLeon is very accessible. He is also one of clearest 19th century political writers you will ever read. However, much of his writings are in the form of pamphlets, speeches and newspaper editorials. Thus, his ideas are not really systematically hashed out in all their nuances the way Kautskys and to a lesser extent Lenin's or Trotsky's are.

This is an advantage of a secondary source. It helps put everything into context and provides a framework of thinking about DeLeon's writings.
