Agreed. Hell, when I'm with all my friends and you get into that typical macho mentality I've sometimes let the term slip when insulting someone I don't like. It's hard to get things that are so engrained into our culture and everyday lives without thinking about what it really means.

There was a user who was saying on the "all u losers who like immortal technique" that no one should take hip-hop seriously because it doesn't have much artistic merit well I think your explanation of Lil B totally shows the opposite. The guy does have a really interesting way of artistically expressing himself, his music is kind of like if abstract art was put in the form of music. In regards to homophobia, I kind of viewed one of the merits in the resurge of alternative hip-hop was the use of homophobia and when Odd Future came out it bothered me that them and their fans are bringing back the use of homophobic terms. I know they say the shit for shock value and even most rappers say it without thinking about it and don't actually hate gay people (at least for most rappers) but does it still sit right with you?

You have any Lil B recommendations? The only song I have is "Wonton Soup" and it's pretty tight so I want to know some other good songs to introduce myself to.
