nah i totally agree. i don't think i've ever seriously read much written before 1900, actually, and probably only barely interacted with stuff written before 1950 (shh don't tell). why do you think i'm so avant-garde? :-P

yeah. the pursuit of the millenium has lots of great stories of these crazy apocalyptic preachers just rolling into towns, starting to preach and basically just winding everyone up into an orgy of violence against the nobility.

i'm trying to think of other intro type stuff, but not a lot springs to mind. wish my books weren't in boxes or i'd dig around for some ideas. i think the work/community/blah zine is really good though.

haha yeah the first part is epic as fuck. the metal shit gets toned down quite a bit later on when the guy gets older, but its still good.
