Eh? We were pretty much sure we wouldn't get the seat after it had been reduced to 3 MEP's for Dublin west. We do not ally with the Labourparty, although we have tactically supported them over the right in some instances, but never supported their own right wing policies. That the shift first comes to the Labourparty is natural, a shift in votes is not the same as the LP being filled up with working class militants. Rather it's the result of the lack of a mass working class alternative on the left, something the SP can't build just on their own.
as for Britain: http://www.socialistworld.net/doc/4209 a small step, but a step none the less. Even the IMT admit the Labourparty is empty.

I have discussed with members of the IMT who are far worse, to be honest.

While I can't recall the number of the top of my head, Socialist Movement Pakistan
http://www.socialistpakistan.org/modules/news/ is still one of the largest sections of the CWI and have grown very much since the split with the LPP. We have also done relief work in Kashmir and Pakistan.
Sadly I must say, I think Manzoor is a symptom of a wrong orientation.

sure I am open for discussion. I amgine JRG's and MarkP's more strong dislike towards the IMT stems from being there when the split happened. I don't think they are necessarily wrong on Pakistan though, for example. Me, I don't really dislike the IMT, I just think they have a wrong and dead end orientation, but then again they are not alone in this. And actually I would think Ireland would be a pretty clear example of that.

"Can I be a member of both CWI & IMT simultaneously?"
You want to join the Labour Party?
