I don't think either are revolutionary- I think the revolutionary movement for communism abolishes ownership and the means of production (and all commodities already produced) become common, owned by no one but free for everyone. Socialization is a function of capital- it's arguable whether or not socialization has spread to all corners of the Earth (a part of the development and centralization of capital), but Marx's concept of the 'collective worker' and Tronti's concept of the 'mass worker' (where such factory conditions exist) are instructive. The huge coup in capital development since 1917 should leave little doubt that capital has created its gravediggers and the conditions for material abundance on a global scale- so the revolutionary movement must proceed directly to communism, from day 1 of the revolution until it covers the globe.

In a hypothetical situation like 1917 Russia, in an isolated workers state, where the workers have seized the factories but their state is isolated, would it be advisable to construct a state capitalist economy under the direction of the workers state until such time the revolution spreads? Or would you advocate leaving the means of production under private ownership until the revolution has spread so that a new worldwide socialist mode of production can be created immediately after socialization of the means of production?

What's all this about the ''Occupied/Communist Party''? When was it founded? How large is the membership? What ideology does it adhere to? Does it have links with groups in other countries?

    Thanks comrade.

Since that's veering off-topic for both of us, the key failure in the German Revolution is the non-realization of this: http://www.revleft.com/vb/all-power-...105/index.html (note my attitude towards the KPD)

"If you're interested in those aspects of prohibition and drug policy, I'd recommend reading the Harm Reduction journal (I think it's part of the Addiction Sciences journal series out of the UK if memory serves). They've done a lot of dynamic research on the effects of prohibition on demand and the creation of sub-cultures around particularly dangerous demand side activities."

Would you mind telling me what their conclusions were?

Political Statement
"The proletariat's assault on the citadels of capital only has a chance of success on condition that the proletarian revolutionary movement finishes with democracy once and for all. Democracy is the last refuge of all disavowals and betrayals, because it is the first hope of those who believe in purifying and re-invigorating the current movement which is rotten to its core."
