Ummm, okay. I am not a mod, uh hence no purple name, but I sent your request to Bilan, so he should be able to help you out.

    Comrade Lewis,

Off the top of my head.

Historically, there were lots of Greens, as Greens, involved in organising the Stop the War Coalition but the last big rally would have been the Anti-Intervention rallies. There is a free newspaper distributed monthly. A lot of local groups have a public discussion after the admin part of their monthly meeting. The South Sydney Greens are heavily involved in REDWatch (Redfern, Eveleigh, Darlington), a group devoted to stopping big developers from kicking out all the working class people and installing massive apartment blocks for rich people. And a lot of Greens are heavily involved in other groups but not so much as Greens. For example one of our local councilors is one of the major activists in the local housing commission tenants rights groups.

I'm curious, may I ask what the Greens tend to do in terms of activism? Over here they just come to leftist rallies and basically say 'lol vote for me' while socialists and groups like Equal Love do the leafletting and communicating with the public.

    Rancid and the Clash too.

I do sympathise with them. I want communism now, and it would be great if one little insurrection could bring it about. However, i have come to realise that those uprisings that have been successful have had decades of agitation behind them

Interesting. Are they the kind of ones who just start riots and listen to the Sex Pistols?

Comrade Lewis, yeah, i don't post much as i read here when i'm on the evening shift.

There are a few anarchist groups around Sydney but they are quite small. The two main ones are based around their book stores. Black Rose, which tends to more 'punkish' and Jura which is more syndicalist.
