Sex positive VS sex negative feminism

There seems to me to be some pragmatic problems in setting up a system which enforces the ideas involved with "sex-negative feminism" (although yes, here i agree this is a somewhat of a slur since being anti-pornography or anti-prostitution doesn't necessarily imply that you are against sex. (but hey, this is the far-left, we invent slurs for everything)) Any anti-pornographic rules seem to necessitate a form of censorship (you will inevitably run into the never-ending discussion on what exactly pornography is) which in my opinion gets in the way of actually discussing and dealing with the problem of female repression/opression. A lot of film, music, and art which could be considered "pro-feminist" (or at the very least "anti-patriarchal") would either be banned or forced to remove perhaps their most poignant content. There's kind of like an out of sight out of mind mentality here. Plus there's the impossiblity of it all. At this point there is no way anyone is ever going to stop there from being porn on the internet, its the anti-piracy debate again. Plus, prositution being illegal seems in many ways to make it less safe and inevitably resultant in more crimes and violence against women

    Sex positive.

I see nothing wrong with sex. Men and Women both have the right to have sex with whoever they want. Im also positive towards both porn and prostitution.

I believe in one's right to determine their own destiny and have control over what does or doesn't go on with their own body. If you choose to consent to a ton of sex with a ton of people, cool, I'm happy that you're doing what you want. If you choose to not have any sex with anyone that is just as valid of a choice and if that is what you want than I am happy you're doing what you want with your body. I believe above all in bodily autonomy.

Sex-positive, but against prostitution. I think that sex is a part of life that (evidently) brings people pleasure and doesn't harm anyone, so it's stupid to restrict it and/or see it as weakness. What I don't approve of, however, is buying and selling something as precious as sex. Actually, I don't approve of buying and selling.

I'm actually personally in the so-called sex-negative camp (a more accurate term for which might be sex-neutral actually), which is really just a term not for feminists who oppose sex, but for feminists who favor embracing a critical view of sexual trends; a willingness to talk about sex and sexual practices in a way that's not always supportive; in a way that doesn't see sex itself or particular sexual practices as intrinsically good or bad, but rather examines particulars in a critical way. This can be contrasted with the prevailing cultural view that sex is always good and cannot be criticized. I feel that this represents the most advanced view, where the sex-positives basically just concentrate a kind of compromise with patriarchy: the idea of "making feminism sexy" so men will get on board with it.

Generally, yes, I am very sex positive. However, I'm also very skeptical in regards to the modern sex industry for...Well a multitude of self-evident reasons.

I fall about where Monkey Queen does. Here's an article that describes my problems with sex-positive feminism: https://skepchick.org/2013/07/sex-negative/
