Me: southern Alaska
I lived in a crumbling cottage surrounded by woodland in southern Scotland until recently, had lived in this part of the country pretty much all my life. Now I live in a city further north since I'm at Uni but I'll always be a bumpkin at heart.
Southern Lancaster county, PA
In the wilds of Clearfield County located in central Pennsylvania *cue banjo music*
ah, Pennsylvania, the "deep North". Areas of upstate New York certainly qualify too.
ah, Pennsylvania, the "deep North". Areas of upstate New York certainly qualify too. Quite so! With the exception of Philly, Pittsburgh, and a few other areas it's mostly farmland and mountains. What's Alaska like?
Not the most rural in here by far, only a few kilometer from a medium-sized city south-western Swedish city, but eh.
Southern Utah just a few hours drive from Vegas.
Quite so! With the exception of Philly, Pittsburgh, and a few other areas it's mostly farmland and mountains. What's Alaska like? Lot of spruce trees, rain etc. Recently we've had the coldest temperatures in my area since the 20's or something, it's been about 7 degrees here with a nasty windchill.
Southern Utah just a few hours drive from Vegas. Utah has nice scenery, I thought. I liked the scenery surrounding SLC when I was there. Then I drove out of the state through a bunch of small Utah towns and wondered how many secret polygamists were living there lol

Then I drove out of the state through a bunch of small Utah towns and wondered how many secret polygamists were living there lol There is some gorgeous terrain around here but the Southern part of the State where I am at is extremely reactionary. Though that is kind of changing with the influx of people from Nevada and California. It is kind of humorous in a way seeing how more and more blatantly racist the natives get here with the influx of various ethnic groups. Not all the natives but there is a certain sect which wields a lot of financial and political power that doesn't like the idea of not having that power once the Mormon Majority is swallowed up.
