Anarchism and the WSM

    hey all,

As someone who has for as long as I can remember been "an anarchist when among Marxists, a Marxist when among anarchists", I'm curious how members of the World Socialist Movement relate to anarchism, given that so many of the ideas put forth by the group are ideas most would associate with anarchism. Is it simply a matter of reaching similar conclusions via a different route or is there some influence? I know "The Idler" has Chomsky as his avatar.

There is a non-WSM group called Socialist Studies who wrote a pamphlet on Anarchism here

I'll read this over, but at first glance I see things that I don't agree with.

Incidentally I'm not changing my avatar any time soon. There may be some of the 'similar conclusions by a different route' with anarcho-communism depending on how you look at it. It would be churlish to say nothing outside the WSM has ever influenced the WSM.

I would be interested in what you disagree with in the text.

I just got round to listening to the Coleman talk and was mightily impressed.
