What can we do as 'kids' ?

But that's exactly what Communist Practice is! A small elite exploit the labour of its farmers and workers, so as to earn a profit for themselves! Much worse then capitalism.
    You are being sarcastic, right?

Can someone tell me what I should say to reply to that though. I posted it in High School Commie's Guide and it was posted in a bad spot so yeah.

Maybe kinda make it clear to them ( in always in a respectful way thus defying their misconception of the needlessly aggressive crazy Communist) the philosphical economic similarities between the soviet Union under Stalin and todays USA or Australia or any other developed country. Explain to them that essentially, exploitation by the state or exploitation by a private owner are still exploitation. And after distacing yourself from these regimes, encourage them to read up on Historical Materialism or Karl Marx on the internet. And make clear to them whether they agree or not it makes an interesting read.

I would but he refuses to read anything and whenever he hears the word Communism he immediately thinks of the U.S.S.R and "evil and satanic" Stalin. He also seems a bit Nationalist to me.

Oh he's probably not worth it then, people like that are hardly going to engage in proper discussion but tend to favour gain-saying and argument (somthing they probably learnt from fox 'news'). I wouldn't bother, maybe offer to explain a little to him when he's willing to approach you with an open-mind.

I remember a few years ago ("when I was your age...") all I wanted was militant action (burning cars, etc.).

I would not actually recommend anything like that, I advice you to think about your future. If you really want to make a difference, educate yourself. Read Marx, Gramsci, Foucault, etc. Read a lot of history. Become informed on how the world works and what you can do to change it. Read up on the Zapatista movement. Learn languages. A revolutionary's primary weapon is always her brains.

If you want to be active, volunteer your time and help the homeless. Volunteer to read to kids at your local library. Every time you choose to help those less fortunate than you are, you undercut the foundations of the cutthroat capitalist system.
Too many kids think that Marxism means blowing shit up and not serving the people.

Finally, if you still want 'action', find someone join an Anti-Fascist organization. Make sure you attach yourself to someone who has experience in that kind of action. There is no need for you to get hurt, but at the same time, militant anti-racism serves the greater good.

two of my friends are not communist be they admire the aspects of some of the ideas like fighting for the working class. We talk politics sometimes especially with my other friend who is 15 and he practice the movement ideology, if not one never heard of the movement

Just today at the bus stop something pretty astonishing happened. I was wearing a che beret and then this kid (he was from my old school) comes up and asks me to tell him what communism. So I say that it's all about equality for all people and 'from each according to his ability, to each according to his need' and then he says, "Hey that sounds pretty good. I think I might be a communist!" :-) Then I recommended revleft and he said thanks and I said you're welcome comrade and then the bus came. Brightened up my day. :-)

I think a lot of people would actually be communist if they knew what it actually was about. A girl at my school who was from Korea (south) actually said that if it weren't for all the people in power being corrupt and such she'd be communist because she really likes the theory.

Then she knows nothing of the states and what happened in these Socialist states. But then who came blame her. She most likely believes Kim Jong 'll is "the mozt evilz dictator"

I openly discuss my 'leftist' beliefs with other people. I write papers about the histories of socialism and leftism and I write papers about class inequalities. I've joined the political and speech clubs to become a more eloquent speaker. I'm a member of the Students for a Democratic Society. Finally, I plan to go to university to major in political science.

There's not much that we can do as kids except prepare for the time when we can act.
    That's why I'm preparing now.

What can we do as 'kids'? We can stop the brainwashing of other 'kids' and help them see Marxism for what it is; a better way!

How did you do it? The one time me and a friend were being proud and open about our communism we received a bunch of very suspicious looks and nervous glances from our peers coupled with an awkward silence. :-( Then my friend started explaining all this (rather loudly, as is her style) in front of this girl who has a reputation for being a bit crazy. I didn't realize the danger or the situation until the girl jumped up and started screaming something along the lines of 'communism wrecked my country' etc, etc. I had to jump up and give a small dose of physical force to stop a Comrade vs Crazy Chinese Girl punch-up ensuing. Any ideas on how to escape a situation like this in the future? :-(
i believe there's a group for martial arts. that's your best bet.

On the topic of kids at school and politics, I don't say the Pledge of Allegiance, and the kids I sit with think thats horrible. They all enjoy being as macho as possible, and using homophobic insults. People also don't understand anarchy there. I said I think anarchy makes sense, and of course, everyone thought it was stupid, and that it would be a lawless society.

On what we can do as kids, I look for marches were I live, but I never find any.

There is a Young Communist League, but I'm not sure what they're doing. I think it says something that so many people in the young generation are at least somewhere on the left-wing, though. Capitalism is making the world worse and everyone can see it. The revolution will happen soon.

I'm working to organize a local chapter of a Socialist organization at my College before I go onto other things. My goal is to have it to survive into the future, and hopefully in the long run affect change.
