Stalin Society of North America Meeting

    Hey all,

As you've noticed, I haven't posted in Revleft for a few months now. The reason for this is because I'm terribly busy with my new job, but also because I've been checking out an organization calling itself the Stalin Society of North America, which is based in Cambridge, Massachussets. It originally began as a Facebook group without much traction, but it has gotten enough people together that the founders feel comfortable trying to host their first real-life meeting on March 8.

So as you can see, the first meeting will have Grover Furr as a guest speaker. His lecture will also be posted online for those who are unable to make it.

    We also have a website, although it's a work-in-progress: http://www.stalinsociety.org/

There are other Stalin Societies throughout the world (You're probably most familiar with the one in Britain), and they run a blog jointly which has some interesting Marxist-Leninist materials on it: http://internationalstalinsociety.wordpress.com/

Lastly, there's the Facebook page itself, which you can post on to find more information if you're interested: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Stali...62765600432561

Being part of the group also has its perks. A while back Grover Furr offered to send free copies of his book on Sergei Kirov's assassination to members of the page, so long as they were willing to provide a mailing address.

If anyone here is interested in attending the meeting, I highly encourage you to show up. We could make this into something great if we get enough participation, and an organization like this is sorely needed in America.

Here is Furr's talk, two hours in length with a Q&A on the end.

This was recorded by CME cameras, the SSNA will upload their own version soon.
