I know nowadays, China is considered merely a state capitalist society, especially after Deng Xiaoping's changes. But was it ever one? What I mean is, was Maoism feasible?
Considering that communism is a global system, no, China hasn't been communist nor could it have been. Was it ever a workers' state? No, the working class never held political power (ergo they never lost it in the first place).
