Would it be appropriate in the current environment to actually issue programmatic demands to accommodationist tred-iunionisty ("nothing but the trade union struggles" and "no class struggle") as a propaganda tool to expose their bankruptcy? The "ultra-left" position that the trade unions have become accommodationist is correct. However, the notion of not working within them isn't. Especially with the globalization of the trade union movement (UNITE and UAW), should the bureaucracies be treated like bourgeois states and given a set of immediate demands (such as eliminating "no strike" deals)? Thoughts?
