    Well whatever came out after punk what had a punk influence but didnt commercialise it like new wave did but tried to use punk as catalyst for a more experimental type of music.

    Like Gang Of Four, PiL, Bauhaus, Wire, Throbbing Gristle, etc.

    PiL, Sisters of mercy and New Model Army are pretty awesome. Other than that I don't really like Post punk to much.

    I love Joy Division, Wire, Pixies, Fugazi, Minutemen, Sonic Youth, Chumbawumba, the Birthday Party.

    Dead Can Dance started out as post-punk in Australia, their early albums were pretty good, and I have taken a liking to their later music as well, Lisa Gerrard's solo stuff in particular.

    Gang of Four, New Model Army, Violent Femmes, XTC, the Church, the Cult, Joy Division, Talking Heads, Curve, Cabaret Voltaire, Chrome, Loop, Spacemen 3, Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, The Chameleons, Breathless, Cocteau Twins, Orange Juice, Smiths, Talulah Gosh, Ride, and the Jesus and Mary Chain are my favorites.
