Why American

I would like to hear the reason why you think we will all follow just the red and not the red, white, and blue.

Are you asking why we aren't patriotic? Hmm maybe because of the racial, class and ethical implications. Patriotism makes people believe their country, therefore the people, seem superior. All people are just that and should be treated as such!

No, I'm asking why you think that the next revolution will be here in the States?

I'm not sure anyone said that the /next/ revolution would happen in the US. Actually, I'm more inclined to think (hope) that the revolutionary process will deepen in Latin America. That said, if we are revolutionaries here in the US we have the obligation to build a revolutionary party and mass social movements, that take the direction of anti-imperialism and independence from the bourgeois parties, here in the US.
The more deeply we build a revolutionary movement here; the more freedom of movement our comrades overseas have. That is, we need to build movements that challenge US imperialism to the point where it's not possible for US imperialism to undermine/overthrow revolutions in Latin America, Asia, Africa, etc.

So it less of building communism here and more of destroying imperialism.

No, I think building socialism /and/ building a consistently anti-imperialist movement go hand in hand. These are tasks that must be done in a combined fashion. That said, the notion of building "national" revolutionary movements doesn't make sense. We need a revolutionary international with national sections rooted in an international program.

I would agree. Revolutions seem more likely in the horribly oppressed and exploited third world countries than here in the imperialist capital of the world. But our main tasks are active solidarity with these international struggles, supporting the trade-union movement here, alerting people to the serious problems that capitalism is creating and causing here in the U.S., and trying to open peoples minds to communism.

We should aim to build a revolutionary movement here in concert with a wider, international revolutionary movement. We should not forget the lesson of the past and allow capitalism to continue on, unchecked outside of the flash point of the revolution.

I'd like to think of myself as being quite patriotic and the exploiting class as being anti-American, personally.
