is that we even have to debate with other left wingers the absolute disgrace that is the state of NK.

They are an absolute embarrassment to our cause and undermine the entire leftist agenda.

Sure, nobody supports nuking them, or making conditions worse for their people but realistically their citizens would do a hell of a lot better under a capitalist democracy than they currently do.

Its time the left break links with that disgusting government and we can move on and promote TRUE socialism.

    Fuck NK!

North Korea is a capitalist state, and not everyone that supports North Korea even considers them to be socialist (or at least not a 'healthy' socialist state).
There are people that consider it to be possible for a state to be anti-imperialist even if this state is explicitly capitalist, but it doesn't take any sort of prestigous theorician to realise the fallacious nature of this position.

I'm not sure that "Capitalist" is the right work. From everything that I've studied about North Korea, they're a weird mix between Personality-Cult Theocracy and Feudalism...

North Korea is actually of far right Reactionaryism. With it's feudalism, theocracy, and other ideological features.

I just can't imagine how we would go about helping them. People there are so brainwashed if you literally were handing a starving North Korean some food or money, and their 'Great Leader' said the slightest negative thing about you, that person would probably kill you.

They are indoctrinated, but this does not mean they all believe it. I saw some information and a video about dissent and passive resistance (anti-Kim propaganda on a bridge) to the "Our Dear Great Benevolent Majestic Super Great Leader".

I have done some studying on the history of North Korea since the end of World War II and Stalin and the U.S. dividing the country and kicking out the Japanese for a history class. Your characteristic of that society is absolutely correct. Anyone who claims that North Korea is some kind of "socialist paradise" doesn't know their history. I am highly anti-Stalinist but I have a Stalinist friend who even feels the same way about North Korea!

North Korea is a dystopia, and i would rather live under capitalists than in that hellhole for sure
