I would reccomend E.H. Carr's 3 volume work on the Bolshevik Revolution for sure. Also heard Lars Lih's two books on Lenin were supposed to be really good. What Is To Be Done? In Context Lenin Lenin and the Revolutionary Party by Paul Le Blanc is supposed to be very well written as well.
