Marxism is to vauge, I think Socialists and Communists must first set up some solid goals and bases.
Do we work to overtrow American imperialism in 3th world country's, support revolutions there and create a socialist bloc there?
Do we work on a more democratic progressivist manner and focus on supporting and changing the European Union from a economic (capitalist) cooperation into a Socialist extracontinential union?
Simple violence will help us not, it distances the general public, it causes division between Socialist groups and it targets us for all our enemy's, in this new world we need a completly new sort of revolution.

I don't think we ever will. The problem we are talking about here is the same one Marx had, what needs to be done is a clear understanding of communism and it works so that people will know what they truly are.

I advocate socialism/communism, but I definitely don't want to work with the Progressives unless they seriously change their aims. Running around banning smoking and passing crazy environmental regulations is not my idea of Progress.

I think we have to keep our goal simple, the dismantling of capitalism. That is the removal of private ownership of the means of production. Then the economy and society can be run by the state and/or direct management of the workers. Doing that then can decide what to do about societal ills.
