    You all know my vote.

I think the Ninth Doctor had the most interesting personality, and Christopher Eccleston played him very well.

    It's pretty close, though.
  3. The Ben G
    The Ben G
    David Tennant.

Tom Baker. I think Matt Smith is really good.

    Best Doctors in order:

    #1. David Tennant
    #2. Matt Smith
    #3. Christopher Eccleston
    #4. Tom Baker.
    #5. ................

Well, alright, so I am not really up to date with the old series. Give a guy a break!

My list would have be the same, except Christopher Eccleston would be first, and I'm not quite sure how I'd order the other three...

I've mainly watched the episodes of those four Doctors as well, along with a few episodes with other Doctors.
  7. Axle
Tie between Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant.

I've never seen any of the old ones, but of the new ones, I'll say Christopher Eccleston - the working-class Dr (Cue a massive wave of support for Eccleston). He shouldn't have resigned after one series. You can just see him when he heard the news that Davod Tennant was going to be in an RSC production of Hamlet. The general consensus on old Doctors seems to be Tom Baker. After a little research it seems like Peter Davison was the most democratic, and the only pretty one, so I'll go for him. But the best ever, why, that would be the 12th

I agree. He was a very good Doctor.

I think Nine and Ten tie for it. It's the Doctor's demons that really make him, IMO.

    Hands down Tom Baker (#4).

2nd best is Sylvester McCoy (#7)

    4. David Tennant
    5. Peter Davison
    6. Sylvester McCoy
    7. Jon Pertwee
    8. Christopher Eccleston
    9. William Hartnell

I agree. He was a very good Doctor.
He originally told RTD that he only wanted to do one series to reboot the show, but during filming he kept changing his mind until RTD forced him to make a decision. In the end he decided to step down and has refused to talk about the show since, although he has said he has great respect for the show and the fans.

You must get them. They are great. (I speak as someone who has been a fan of the show since 1973).

    From best to worst Doctors:

    1. Sylvester McCoy
    2. Colin Baker/Jon Pertwee/William Hartnell
    3. Patrick Troughton (maybe my favourite actors of all the Doctors).
    4. Peter Davison
    5. Paul McGann
    6. Richard E. Grant (one off ''original canon continuation'' audio adventure 'Screams of The Shalka').
    7. Tom Baker.
