So far, these are my favorite:

Since it's news, it's faster than movies, really a challenge to keep up at all, for me. Good if you've a bit of fluency already, or good for zoning out to.

Google translate is also mad handy for double checking things, though I wouldn't rely on it as a primary tool for anything.

Linkword works by making you remember French words with little puns in English and stuff. It's pretty good. For example one of them is like "Lapin is French for rabbit, imagine a rabbit lapping water" or "Cheval means horse, imagine poking a horse with a shovel". Then it builds on that and gets you remember which words are masculine by having you associate them with a boxer (with some strange results) such as "Lapin is masculine, le lapin. Imagine a boxer punching a rabbit". Pretty soon they have this boxer riding horses and playing pianos. Anyway, it's pretty good and you'd be surprised at how much you learn and remember over a short period of time.

The Berlitz videos are pretty damned good, if you can find them. I can never forget that "Mireille"...
