    Thoreau was a pioneer. I knew of his essay on civil disobedience, but hadn't yet heard of MacGregor, Lyttle, and Deming. You into Chomsky or Zinn? On a lighter note, I recently attempted Thoreaus epic "chops".Needless to say, it just looked white trashy..
