Groenlinks Netherlands should, especially after the last budget-debates in dutch parliament, be moved to enviromental LEFT organisations.
(Coinicidentally, their name means GreenLeft, so....)

GroenLinks is an organisation with a strong liberal and even neoliberal tendency. The old CPN might have dissolved in GL, but there is really nothing that reminds of any anti-capitalist stance in that party.

A year or so ago, I was selling stickers with the text "destroy capitalism before it destroys the planet!" on it for solidarity price at a climate festival. I got into a whole long discussion with two GL members on how they disagreed with me that capitalism was the cause of the environment fuck up

Well, at least as much anti-capitalist as the SP. Their plans for the hypotheekrenteaftrek, as wel as for the AOW (people with 'intellectual' jobs should work until 67 so that we can afford to allow physical laborers to go on pension on the 60th).... I think they've chosen sides. especially in comparisson to dutch politics.

    Greetings all,

After an extended absence, I look forward to participating here, and on the rest of RevLeft again.

I wanted to take this opportunity to add a couple relevant links. One is explicitly ecosocialist, the other is based in social ecology, which might be considered one particular tendency compatible with ecosocialism:

http://www.cnsjournal.org/ -- The journal Capitalism, Nature, Socialism. It is an ecosocialist journal edited by Joel Kovel.

http://www.social-ecology.org -- The Institute for Social Ecology.

Green Left (Australia) is not an organisation, but a newspaper, produced by the the Socialist Alliance (http://www.socialist-alliance.org)

Another of our publications LINKS - International Journal of Socialist Renewal (http://www.links.org.au) carries enormous amounts of ecosocialist material.
