Lars T Lih, the CPGB, and Kautskyism

  1. Die Neue Zeit
    Die Neue Zeit
Unlike the Permanent Revolution critique ("Debating Kautsky's Legacy"), this Trotskyist critique is lengthier and addresses both Lars Lih and Mike Macnair in a single go:

[I don't agree with the critique for obvious reasons, of course.]

Can you send me the pdf? I don't want to recreate a facebook account.

Also, there are variations on the document? One variant mentions Cyril Smith in the title.

And who the hell is the International Trotskyist Current?

Maybe comrade Rakunin can do this?

The ITC is headed by one Gerry Downing, the guy who wrote an immediate Trotskyist counter-polemic to Jack Conrad's supposed-to-be-notorious "Programmatic Masks and Transitional Fleas":

That would really explain Downing's hardcore emphasis on Boris Krichevskii's Transitory Action Platform method throughout the article, from the discussion on the "Kautskyite" emphasis on democracy (but no discussions on the Bolshevik coups' d'etat of 1918!) to the min-max separation to the April Theses to the question of left unity.

"Nevertheless, we must all be more Kautsky than Lenin today is the message Lih proposes, much to the delight of the CPGB's Macnair and Bridge."
