The State Executive Committee of the Socialist Party of Florida has suspended Brian Moore's membership in the Party while looking in to certain charges against him. There will be a hearing on the matter in approximately one month's time. Should the charges be upheld, he will be removed from all offices he holds under the authority of the Socialist Party of Florida. Until the matter is decided, the SEC will not discuss the matter with anyone except Party officers, and the State officials concerned. This is neither a criminal nor tort matter, but relates to certain activities related to the Party which may have occurred. Until the hearing, Brian Moore's membership in the Party is suspended. He may neither vote nor preside in his official positions within the Party. Nor is he allowed to participate in online Party forums. For the duration of this period, Vice Chair Darius Engel will be acting-Chair of the Socialist Party of Florida.
