Ok, I ask to move this discussion to the proper thread in Politics for the reasons cited in that thread.

I think a good Q and A about leftism and even Capitalism would be a great start.

Deal with some of the main conceptions and questions: like the "Human Nature" question for example

Yah, very good idea Kurt. Like Engels' "Principles of Communism" but just updated with modern lingo and examples.

I think we should be doing basic documentaries about for example the German Revolution, the Russian civil war, the Spanish Civil war, The Weimar Republics Political fights just before Hitler came to power. Explaining the roles of the different groups, objectively. We need a small logo in the corner maybe, so people can identify our objective documentar (with sources from unbiased non-capitalistic places)

Yeah, a memorable logo would be good. We wouldn't want something to overtly like soviet or anything. Some folks sadly put the hammer and sickle on the level of the swastika I read somewhere in Strategy forum how this guy campaigned with the title of "socialist party" or something and got 10,000 votes then he campaigned under the title of something akin to "bring an end to poverty" and got 245,000. (I can't remember the exact numbers, but you get my point).

A documentary series would be excellent as well. Although I think we should put our efforts first into a Q and A and make it a high quality video.

This this and more this - to start off with. I think it strategically makes sense to refute common arguments against socialism before we start explaining the theory in-depth. It should give us an easy start.

At least in America, today there is rampant confusion about the difference between liberalism and socialism is. This may be a good launching point to explain what socialism really is.

Basically I'm tired of every liberal failure being called a socialist one. People need to understand why big government capitalism isn't a socialist workers state.

A video focusing on the general misconceptions about Socialism/Communism/Anarchism, then some videos that cover the basic history and ideas behind the philosophies.

I already posted about a my completed documentary about G20 Pittsburgh in the related thread. Once its uploaded then you guys can watch it and decide its worth.

What I am planning next is a more extensive report and accounting of G20 Toronto. I'm bringing audio equipment, small flip cameras and lighting this time around so the quality should be up to near professional standards. If any Toronto locals are out there then I would love to learn the layout of the city, I've only been there once before. I like the idea of a video encompassing an action along with basic layouts of ideology by people who are actually "on the field" so to speak. questions like "what is the difference between anarchy and Anarchism", "why do you wear masks", and "what historic roles have radicals played" can be asked to people sitting in the park right after a bloc is broken up my tear gas, it adds to the duality of passionate resistance and a loving community. Not to mention that having "exciting" footage of falling windows, blaring sirens, and mass arrests tends to grab even the thickest skulls. This is all in the planning stages but I hope to have a pretty well rounded movie covering everything in a truthful manner. Any advice?

We should really include anarchism as well, I agree.

Sounds excellent. Anyone who wants to make documentaries on certain events of interest should be encouraged and assisted by the rest of the group.

    Pity nothing happens in Perth.

Maybe we could do a fake historical documentary or a short video of what we think a Worker's revolution in the first world would look like.

That would actually be a really cool idea. It would take a bunch of theory and we could try to represent people of all tendencies taking power in different parts of the country.
